Whitewashed arches frame endless views of sea and sky at Villa California I, where the breeze drifts gently through open-plan spaces and the horizon stretches far beyond the Mediterranean. Perched on a hillside just outside the village of Canyelles, this bright and breezy villa has been thoughtfully reimagined for easy-going, sun-filled family holidays. Inside, crisp white interiors, tiled floors and simple, stylish furnishings create a calming atmosphere, with open living areas that flow naturally onto the shaded terrace and poolside garden.

The house sleeps up to twelve adults and two children across six bedrooms and a garden suite, making it ideal for large groups. The kitchen is sleek and modern, the living areas spacious, and almost every room makes the most of the surrounding views.

Outside, the setting is all about alfresco living, from the glassy turquoise pool and low-slung loungers to the gas barbecue and long covered dining table. With the coast and Sitges town just a short drive away, it’s a peaceful base with plenty of character and charm.
